PRESTON PUBLIC UTILITIES

NOTICE OF UTILITY RATE INCREASE

At the regular Public Utility Commission meeting on December 9, 2014, the commission voted unanimously to raise the electric charges by 2%, water charges by 20% and sewer charges by 10% as averaged across all customers. This increase will be effective January 1, 2015. The average residential customer* will see an increase in their monthly utility bill of $1.65 for electric, $4.13 for water and $1.58 for sewer. The primary reason for the rate increase is to fund upgrades to the electric, water and sewer infrastructures including the 2014 Street & Utility Improvement Project.
